How did I get here?
Welcome to Imagine Ink Art, the vibrant and whimsical world created by a Gold Coast artist who dared to follow her heart.
Once a teacher, I traded my classroom for an artist's palette, embarking on a kaleidoscopic journey of self-expression and therapeutic art.
Growing up on the sun-kissed shores of Australia's Gold Coast, where every wave carries a hint of magic, I've woven my experiences as a Gen X local into a collection which I know will spark some warm and fuzzies in your nostalgic soul.
My Medium
My passion for experimenting with acrylic paint, in my artwork has allowed me to create vibrant and captivating pieces on canvas boards.
Let's face it, I'll step up if the vision calls for UV paint and glitter... this is the Gold Coast, after all!
I can take anywhere up to 3 months to complete a canvas - I don't like to rush my art and I need to know you're getting the best of me in every brush-stroke. Rest assured, I obsessively research all my subjects for accuracy (as much as possible - damn those grainy pics of the 70s!!!) to bring each piece back to life.
My Inspiration
My art is intricately woven with inspiration from the architectural icons of the Gold Coast landscape during the nostalgic decades of the 70s, 80s, and 90s. These cherished childhood memories are lovingly recreated on my canvases. Extensive research goes into every vision to reimagine each moment as accurately as possible.
